SOUHRN

Druhá linie terapie metastazujícího hormonálně pozitivního karcinomu prsu je komplexní, vyžaduje individualizovaný přístup. Volba léčby závisí na mnoha faktorech, včetně biologické povahy a rozsahu onemocnění, celkového stavu pacienta a očekávaného účinku a toxicity léčiva. Kromě chemoterapie jsou k dispozici nové přípravky z oblasti endokrinní a cílené léčby. Znalost molekulárního profilu nádoru a genetické vyšetření jsou pro tuto linii při rozhodování o terapii klíčové. Prognóza těchto pacientů se s moderními léčebnými strategiemi významně zlepšuje, stále se však obecně jedná o léčbu paliativní. Proto je důležité se zaměřit jak na prodloužení přežití, tak i kvalitu života pacientů.

SUMMARY

The second-line treatment of metastatic hormone receptor-positive breast cancer is complex and requires an individualized approach. The choice of treatment depends on many factors, including the biological features and extent of the disease, the overall condition of the patient, and the expected effectiveness and toxicity of the drug. In addition to chemotherapy, new drugs from the field of endocrine and targeted therapy are available. Knowledge of the tumor’s molecular profile and genetic testing is crucial for this line of therapy when making decisions about treatment. The prognosis of these patients has improved significantly with modern treatment strategies, but the aim of the therapy is still generally considered palliative. Therefore, it is important to focus on both prolonging survival and improving the quality of life of patients.
